Grand Illusion is back!!!
After a four and a half year absence, Grand Illusion is finally back. Stronger than ever before. Anders Rydholm, Peter Sundell and Per Svensson has decided to give Grand Illusion life again. During the 2009 the boys have been working hard with there comeback album, Brand New World.

Brand New Album
Late in the authumn of 2008, during the recording of Demon Kogure's, Girls Rock Tiara, Anders and Peter started to talk about recording some new songs to see if the magic still was there. Anders, at once started to write new material with the help of lyricist, Arlene Matza-Jackson.

In February 2009 the recodings started and both Anders and Peter was pretty happy with the result so they decided to bring in Per to help out with background vocals. It not only sounded great, they also had a lot of fun so it felt natural to continue to write more material and soon they had 17 new songs.

LA April 2009
In April 2009 Anders flew to Los Angeles to record drums with Gregg Bissonette in WoodCliff Studios, Sherman Oaks. During two intense days Anders, Gregg and engineer Frank Rosato recorded the drums and the foundation for the new Grand Illusion. In the lunch on the second day Anders and Gregg was talking about favourite guitar players and one thing led to another and before the lunch has ended Tim Pierce was booked for a guitar session two days later. One of the most busy and best studio guitarists in the world. Not to mention a big guitar hero and inspiration for the Grand illusion members.

The recording session with Tim went great and Tim has helped us with 7 guitar solos for this album. Mike Slamer is another old guitar hero that guests on this new album and he don?t need any presentation. The Grand Illlusion boys are thrilled to have Mike perform his guitar magic on our new album. Danny Jacob is also a session pro in LA with a great melodic sense. He has been working with George Michael as a member of both his studio and touring band. Elton John, Ray Charles, Bette Midller are just a few of many other artists Danny has worked with. Danny plays solos on 4 songs.

Roger Ljunggren played the majority of the solos on "View From The Top" and we are very pleased that he once again helps us out with a couple of solos.
Another big welcome we would like to direct to Kjell Klaesson. Anders and Kjell played togtether for several years in the end of the 1970's so it's fun to have Kjell helping us out playing acoustic guitar.

Summer and Autumn 2009
During the whole year of 2009 Anders, Peter and Per has been working hard to create an album that feels like a true Grand Illusion album. Great hooks, tasty guitars and massive vocals. Everything put togther in there own unqiue over-the-top Grand Illusion style.

The album will be released during 2010 in Europe through Metal Heaven and in Asia through Marquee/Avalon.
